can we put a Telecaster bridge single coil in a Stratocaster bridge position?
can it be done technically?

I seem to recall that there is a company that makes these...it's called the 'stelly' pickup or something, and it basically is a telecaster bridge pickup deisgned to fit in a strat bridge position and still sound like a tele

I put a Dimarzio B-1 Tele in the bridge, a Dimarzio SDS-1 in the middle and a Dimarzio Dual Sound in the neck with a toggle for the coil split in a Strat back in 1979. It did require some routing (long before hss, hsh combo's) It had the original 3-way switch. Man was it a Dragon Slayer. I ended up getting rid of it in 1982 because I decided to go acoustic. (Brain Fart) Walked into a club in another town 5 years later and there's my Strat. I talked to the guy that had it. He wanted to know what was in it. He had a 5-way switch installed. He let me set in with the Band later that night. Man did I wish I still owned that guitar.
