What religion are you, and why?

You could say I'm partly budhist, but I'm all about peace, love, empathy and freedom.
Why? I dunno to be honest, I guess I just thought that would be a great way to live. Alot of my friends reckon I'm a hippy  , but I'm kinda like one.

Christian...I believe in the Bible and that it is the word of God..I believe that Christ died on the Cross for my salvation and all those who call upon him and ask for forgiveness..

No matter which denomination you are ..Or which way you chose to worship..

Religion is man made....God is the Alpha and Omega

Why do i believe what i believe i can't answer...I'm not very good at being a Christian but i have been practicing being one for along time..I pray that i will keep on practicing threw eternity...

It says somewhere in the Bible that Christ loves the sinner but not sin... So that must mean he Loves me alot but hates the things i do ..

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

I personally think that this thread is stepping on a thin line, because religion is one of those things that people will argue about and say mean things to each other  but I trust the good people of Fender forums to be civil to each other and I'll pitch in. :D

I am Atheist. I did get babtiest and conformed at the Lutherian Evengelist state church but signed out shortly after conformation I had my doubts. Now I follow the Icelandic humanist org. named Siðmennt. Siðmennt is for everybody from every religion that believe that state shouldn't disgriminate between religions. They also offer all sort of services such as Inter-religous weddings, civil-conformations and burialservices for atheists.

I call myself a non-practicing Catholic. I was baptized and raised as Catholic but do not attend services regularly.

I do believe in the dignity of my fellow man and the sanctity of his life on earth.

I also firmly believe in karma. Seems every time I have done something crappy in my life that something crappy has also happened to me. Go figure.

I'm pretty non-descript but take an interest in elements of buddhism. I believe in reincarnation and fate/destiny/karma.

No disrespect to other members here, who I am sure are lovely, but i tend to look at 'godly' religion (catholicisim/protestantism/islam/judaism etc) with a fairly sceptical eye, mainly because of the amount of bloodshed they've caused as a result of religious intolerance. It amazes me that after 20 odd centuries, people still happily kill each other and justify it simply because they worship the same deity in a slightly different way...i've also often found, through personal experience and in no way a reflection of anyone here, that the most 'religious' people I have met of have associated with in the past tended to be the most narrow-minded....

When politics are brought up the complaints pour in that it does not belong in a guitar forum. Now we`re bringing up religion, the two topics assured to create enemies amoung ourselves. Lets stick to talking about guitars and music so we can all remain on good terms with each other. It don`t matter what our religion or race is. The main thing is we all have a common interest and thats all that matters.

Not religous but a believer and follower of Jesus Christ. Born again 19 years ago after years of drugs and drinking. Jesus said" if your ashamed of me I'll be ashamed of you". :)
