Both my Behringer and Bugera amps have headphone jacks. If I could find the darn things I could manage any time in a 24 hour day as long as I was in the other end of the house from Mrs Black Strat.

I may have to break down and just get some new ones. :?

I`m from NYC too and the best thing you can do is get yourself a pair of headphones if you don`t have them already. No complaints from anyone and you can practice all day if you want.

When I lived in NYC I used to always sit and strum in Strawberry Fields every day during the summer. Always started with Imagine or Jealous Guy having just walked down 72nd.

When Binterz (who also posts here sometimes) and I were temporarily homeless, just after the 2003 blackout, we slept in the bushes in Strawberry Fields cos we figured John Lennon's spirit would keep us and our guitars safe.

God I miss it!!!

Best "Before they made it" story ever. Remember to put that into your biography. :D

lol, God, I have too many stories! The biography will have to come in separate volumes: 'The Glasgow Years', 'The New York Years', 'The Belfast Years' and 'The Years We Don't Remember So Well'. lol

Where:
I have my gear all set up in the living room of my apartment. Being an upstairs dweller,
I will set my amps up on a chair to help reduce the vibrations to those below.
When:
Anytime the mood strikes me. Though, being a bit of a night owl (as all true rock ‘n’ rollers are),
I tend to get in my groove in the late night/early morn hours. I try to practice everyday.
When I don’t, I feel guilty about it.
Gotta keep those blisters on me fingers!

Well for one this is a reason I think everyone should have some kind of acoustic guitar. Being born and bred in Brooklyn the only complaints really came from someone who lived next door to someone who played drums.lol

I have a finished basement and that is where I go plug in and play along to backing tracks or CDs. I am a night owl so I would be down till the sun came up and the wife a few summers ago told me to keep it down as some girls had moved into the basement apartment in the house next to us. The funny thing was that same day getting in the car I see this girl and she asked me if I was the one playing. So I told her I was sorry if I kept her up and would keep it down and she told me to try and make it louder that she stays up listening and put in a request for some Santana. I was very happy but the look my wife gave me was not thrilling.lol
