This is a weird feeling! I've been buying and selling guitars all year and G.A.S.-ing for this one or that. Now I've got my collection down to 4 electrics, 2 amps and 1 acoustic.

I've been cruising Craigslist and checking out Musicians Friend for the last few weeks and ... and ... nothing. I am not dying to get a guitar or some other gear for the 1st time in a really long time. I wonder how long it will last.

I am kind of interested in a 12 string acoustic, and I would like a tube amp at some point, but not feeling the terrible "I've go to have it now" pangs that usually ravage my psyche. And I am really happy with the gear I do have. Anyone else feeling this way?

I was in Long&McQuade today and they had a Flameglo Ricky 360-12 and it's going for $2795,I don't know how much they're going for in the US but I feel GAS pains building up.I'm going to Miami and NYC in April so I think I'll try to hold off until then and try to find the 1964 style 360-12 like George Harrison had or a 350 V63 like John Lennon's,I've seen them going for $1,800-2,200 in the US.

I have exactly the same situation. On thursday I was looking at a epi black beauty. A really nice guitar with frets over the binding as is my sensible preference. The guy only wants £380 for it and will accept a guitar I dont like or play in exchange at a reasonable rate.

I explain to him that the missus will flip If I bring home another guitar. It's really an excuse, the guitars nice (near perfect infact) but it just doesnt evoke any real desire in me. I've been like that for months now. The only guitar thats got anywhere near tempting me was a 63 tele.

Then I get home, have dinner, mention the black beauty to the missus and that I'm not intrested in it (she gets my strings off the guy and knows him). Check my emails after dinner and find I've won the malibu.

Irony eh? Still cant complain.

I think, like you I've got a set that does everything I need or want.

Kong, I feel the same way...in fact, I have anti-GAS now; I'm trying to sell my Strat, my Gibson Les Paul Double Cut, and my Reinhardt Fat Albert; that would leave me with the Tele, the Les Paul Std, my CS-336 and for amps, the Marshall, the Carol-Ann, and the TW Rocket clone...it's tough to sell stuff these days..Michael is also trying to sell his SG and his Tinman Thinline Tele; so far just a few trade bites.
Hopefully, everything will sell soon. I look at the posts on TGP and while there are some beautiful amps and guitars, my heart does not skip a beat :D

Must be nice! I'm gasing for everything under the sun right now! I went to the local mom and pop and purchased a MXR Phase 90 and ordered a pedaltrain PT2 board to stave of my GAS pangs over the Gretsch. Hows that for twisted logic?

Caught myself shopping Hot Rod Deluxe amps on ebay (and again at the mom and pop, which the quoted me a price on a 1x12 model for $625 after tax), which tempted me, but i think I'll shop a used one for about $500. should be easy to find.

So relish your gasless state friends, cause i'm bloated enough for atleast 6 of you!

I used to always want something.

This or that guitar, and/or this or that amp.

But Fender's huge price increase last year cured mine - but good.

Even when they lowered the prices back down - still no interest.

They would have to chop the prices to a quarter to a third of what they are now to get me interested again. Someone said something about serving ice water in hell before that would happen - so I would say my "gas", or gear buying, is cured forever.

I have no severe gas, just mild gas atm. I don't want guitars or amps, I got that taken care of, I just want tubes and a weber speaker for my new, well old SF champ, a nice cable or two and perhaps something to record with.

I am GASing for a new amp. Going out tomorrow to look around. I am going to test out a Blues JR, Super CHamp XD, and a Line 6 Spider IV. I am going to see which one comes home with me.
