Welcome Brian. I've been a member since 2005 and never saw anything that Brian describes. You've got to do something pretty weird to get banned. Serious personal attacks are not tolerated. I've never read a racist remark over there. I'm there almost every day.

Hi everyone! Sorry, I should have been more specific - I wasn't referring to this forum but another fender forum that has been around for many years and long before this one. I was a member of there for some time and there are some hugely knowledgeable and experienced people who frequent it.

bbrodie - I was just like you - there almost everyday for a good 5 years, it was fun until I ventured into the "Moes Tavern" - wish I hadn't. The rest is history. Basically if you do not make a contribution and are not from the US you are bullied. They really do believe that the US is "spreading peace" all over the world. Oh man. I live in the Middle East now and I can assure you they do not.

I will completely avioid all political and religious topics and just get on with loving the Fender vibe and having a cool time hangin'out on here with you guys. :)

Brian, I never ventured into Moe's Tavern and I've been member for 5 or 6 years too. Now I'm curious to see who posts there.

It is best to avoid all political and religious topics here too. Someone here actually asked, "What Religion Are You?" Why, I don't know. I didn't post anything, I just followed it for a while. You always get the political Obama/Bush/Clinton, insert the other party etc. ruined the world stuff too.

I'll have to check out the tavern and see whats up. I usually just stick with the Whammy Bar, Amp, Guitar and repair stuff. Those guy's are really helpful.

Anyway, Welcome!

Okay Brian, it's not THE Fender Forum, It's Fender Forum FDP that has Moe's Tavern. They always were a bunch of A holes over there. Years ago I was lurking there and didn't like what I saw. I seriously recommend www.thefenderforum.com though. Really great people lot of technical and amp building info.

Hey thanks for the heads up on that. I think I registered there too years ago but there were hardly any people on it then. I'll head back over there now and check it out.

Cheers
Brian

In order to stay straight here, why don't you wait until you hear someone criticize the UK and/or its people before you do the same to others? :?

Brian wasn't talking about this forum, it was FDP or Fender Forum. There's too many similar sounding Fender Forums. I quit FDP ages ago.

I was referring to the FDP forum, which as others have rightly pointed is run by a complete $@! hole. Not a nice place to be in my experience. Much better here by a long long way.
