Okay, I'm not putting down Gibson or Aaron Lewis, I was just wonderin'
what kind of pick he uses that would destroy the top of the guitar like that? A boxcutter blade?

Looks like he does a lot of upstrokes.

But it doesn't look as on-the-road-again-worn as Willie Nelson's guitar:

Isn't it great for $18,000 you can get one just as beat up and autographed by him. What drugs are Gibson execs taking these days?

Seems like they've lost touch with reality. They seem to want to build guitars more for collectors than real guitar players. I can't believe an Aaron Lewis autograph is worth $9000.00.

Gibson lost touch with reality a few years ago when they gave Kiefer Sutherland a signature guitar...so what, Kiefer can play, has a huge guitar collection, an indy label, managed a band, and can dive into Christmas trees...at least Aaron Lewis may have actually inspired or influenced some people today...Oh wait, I'm out of touch...players these days are busy trying to get that Kiefer sound and nail all those Kiefer licks and songs since we all know Clapton was God til Kiefer came along...

That guy play's up in Reno and Tahoe by my home all the time. My wife drug me to one of his concerts.....oh my. He is such a whiner. About a quarter of the way through i was ready to bail but stayed to please the ol' ball and chain. $18,000.00 for that peice, no way. $9000.00 for his autograph, just go to one of his shows in the Sierra's and snag one like my wife did at the Silver Legacy for the price of like $60.00 bucks for the show.
Yeah true if I saw a real old used Gibson like that at a pawn shop for the right price, i would pick it up. Never pay any amount of dough like that for anything played by anyone except Orville Gibson himself.

Flanker hit the nail on the head imho, gibson has lost touch with their customers. I should know, I used to be one  Joking aside though, since discovering Fender guitars and amps, my guitar journey is in full flow.
