I am down to 2, its either the Seymour Duncan Deja Vu or the Hardwire DL-8.

I have tried the Carbon copy, Boss dd-3 and 7, timebender, and the boss dd-20 and also a tech 21 DLA. Did not like either the complexity or sound on those units.

The DL-8 just seems to have everything and sound great to boot with its emulation of analog and tape. It also has a 20 second looper with overdub capability.

The Seymour Duncan deja Vu sounds fuller, thicker, and has a 20 second looper but you cannot overdub. Since you get both real analog and digital with this unit and can combine the two, it seems the way to go.

any thoughts???

Have you looked into the Electro Harmonix delays?I had an older Memory Man Deluxe and for an analogue delay it was superb and I've read in reviews that the new ones are much better and low priced compared to many others.Could be worth checking out.

I have read the good reviews on those units but so far I have been unable to play my Strat through one. I may just get both units, the DL-8 and the Seymour Duncan. Since I like them both and it would give me the ability to have different delay settings for different songs without having to fiddle with settings. That way I keep the effects simple yet get the ability to do what the Boss DD-20 or timebender does with presets.
