The whole "lawsuit guitar" thing is a joke. It doesn't mean anything anymore (because it's been applied so widely), if it ever did. It's become a phase used to try to squeeze a couple more bucks from gullible and naive buyers of copies and near-copies.

Orville is right. 99% of all guitars called "lawsuit" are nothing more than worthless pc's O'sheet that a pawn shop wouldn't give $5 for. A true lawsuit guitar is worth the money due to it's quality (hence the lawsuit) not a reference to an event in time.
