Major Mojo your way.

Math is the kind of subject that different individuals understand differently. If your teacher isn't delivering the math to you the way you understand you should think about getting an extra help. Like mclmk8d said there are a lot of college kids looking for an extra buck by tutoring, there are websites. I could even ask someone in your school who is good in algebra to study with you.

Freddie Mercury was kind of the black sheep in Queen. He was the only one who wasn't a scholar. But did that stop him... erhm no. :D

Good luck. If I understand the american school system right you still have 3-4 years to redeem yourself. 8)

Ariana, first off I'm sending mojo your way. You still have time to improve on your grades and if you work hard you can do it.

Berklee, like other colleges, look at your complete high school transcript along with SAT scores and any additional tests/auditions that pertain to which Major you decide on.

Berklee also offers some great online courses.

http://www.berklee.edu/majors/

It sounds like you've already started turning things around with your Mom and I believe that you are sincere about channeling your energy to meet your goals.

It's not too late...get extra help if needed and always keep a positive outlook (at times it's tough, I know about that), but you've set your goals and now keep pushing towards reaching those goals. Anything is possible if you have the will and desire!

Best wishes!

Yes, I go to extra help every day when my math teacher is available(Tuesdays through Thursdays), and I also have a peer tutor who helps me out once a week at lunch. :P
I think the main reason I'm having a hard time is that I was home schooled before this, and I was in 7th grade in math when I should've been in 8th. So, really, I'm skipping a whole grade where I would've gradually built up to where we are now, but since I went from 7th grade to 9th grade, I'm struggling in a big way.

Haha, yeah, that's how I'm trying to look at it!! I have about three-and-a-half more years to turn this thing around!!

Thank you for your kind words. :D

You're a Freshman. You have time to pull your grades up. Just do it sooner that later. :)

My son is a freshman (Fish).

Best of luck to you. You will be fine. :)

Awwh, thank you, guys. :P

I really need some positive vibes now, because I just got my math project back, and I made some STUPID mistakes on my work for the slopeformula. And I mean STUPID.
If I hadn't made those stupid mistakes, I would have at least a C- in algebra compared to the D+ that I have now. And that's my final grade for this marking period.
DAMMIT. :x

Whoa Girl,
Don't get to bent out of shape just yet. Your just a freshman. These grades will not affect your college ambitions. But you must keep at it, even if it means taking additional math classes. Everything your doing now is preparing you for the future. Take your lumps, brush yourself off, and jump back into the fight. Kicking, Clawing, Screaming, Whatever you have to do to win. Life is a Test. Dreams are the Reward.

And MoJo! You don't need no stinking Mojo, You've got everything you need staring back at you in the Mirror. Now get to it.
