just read that charlie daniels suffered a stroke recently :cry:

he was snowmobiling in colorado when it happened. he was released on sunday, and plans to continue touring :D

at 73, he can still outplay many of us younger ones.

Wow i didn't even know about that. He's definately a tough old guy, and can play that fiddle better than probably anyone alive today.

he plays a pretty good axe too. We went to his museum in Nashville last summer. Hes got alot of great memoribilia and some great pics as well. It's free too, if you go there be sure to stop in.

He played up here a few years ago and a buddy of mine who is a local musician himself got to go on his bus and sit and talk with him. Said he is a real down to earth fellow and a gentleman. I'm glad he's going to be OK! 8)

+1 on his guitar playing! I saw him several times back in the late seventies - early eighties. I always favored the guitar playing songs over the fiddle playing tunes! :P
