Back in October my friend was shopping for a tele and I thought the Classic Player was great, played and sounded as good if not better then all the other tele models they had.

I have a regular MIM standard. It's a surprisingly good guitar. I love it, but I don't know if it can compare with the '52 'cause I've never played one.

If you didn't mind a used Tele, you could probably find a american one for a decent price on Craigslist.

Yeah the Classic 50's Tele I played was a beauty. I also really like the MIM Tele standard it really is a great build, problem is I always settle for the MIM standards( Strats ). I know the Classic Series and Baja Teles are MIM but their a bit more flashy than a regular Standard.
I also don't really mind buying a used one off craigslist (and belive me I've been searching) so we will see. Thanks for all your guy's imput, I will keep you updated on what I pick up when i do.

P.S. I had to return the AVRI '52 to my pops yesterday...kinda felt like breaking up...REALLY hard to do. :)

Yeah Man, the thing about the Tele is that once you play one...Ya gotta have one... I guess what I would do is go to the store and play all kinds of them. I bet you will find one in your price range that will fit the bill for you.. Just dont buy too many at one time :D

I had a buddy of mine who jams with my pops bring over his Classic Series 50's Esquire. I had no idea he had this as he usually jams on his Epiphone flamecat.I brought up the fact that I was looking into buying a Tele and he told me he had one. Upon arrival I found out it was actually an Esquire. I loved the feel of the Esquire. Wow I am so confused. I still have to try out the American Special so I will see.
I know the solution for this=GET RICH or sponsered by Fender!
