I finally installed the pot in my old Vox and I know now why they're commanding top dollar from wah aficionados, there's simply nothing like it. After some adjustment in the travel I got it set up right.I plugged in my 50th Ann. Strat and played the intro to Voodoo Child(slight return)and it was spot on in tone(if not in playing). The taper of the Pro Pot is identical to the original Vox pot, something other makers have yet to perfect. There is however a slight scratchiness in the pot but I'm sure a shot of contact cleaner wil remedy that or maybe it will sort itself out in time. Can anyone recommend a good contact lube/cleaner?I knew there was one years ago called Camlyn R5 or some such name but it wasn't available here.Thanks.

A new pot shouldn't already be scratching?! You could be right that it will work itself out with some use soon. Otherwise, I've been using the same can of Radio Shack contact cleaner for 15 years now and it always works like a charm for my scratchy wah pots.

p.s. Cool you got the old McCoy working again after all those years!

Thanks for the info,Radio Shack is no longer in Canada but we have the Source that sells basically rebranded Radio Shack products so I guess they'll have it under their name.
