Does anybody know where I can find a 10 volt D.C. negative ground power supply? It's a DOD EQ from the '80s. The adapter is long gone so I can only run it on batteries. It's pretty sweet, but I don't use it because of this issue. Nowadays most pedals seem to run on 9 volt supplies.

it doesent need to be 10volts.

Just either get one of those multi adapters and make sure it has that top like a 9volt battery or get a power supply and get the adaptor for it.

Not sure why I used the word "adapter". What I really need is a power supply. A wall wort. Needs to be 10 volts, right? Radio Shack doesn't carry them. Neither does guitar center near as I can tell.

This is really stumpin' me people. I'm new to pedals. Been playing guitar for 20 some years. The power supply/adapter goes into the pedal with a male into the female. Not like most pedals nowadays. Here's a pic.

Will this work? It's only 9 volts. Come on people. Show some love and reply. I can't afford to shell out $100 for a new EQ pedal.

Thanks Twelvebar. We can work out a trade or money, whatever works.

So far i found one DOD pedal, but no power supply  I haven't used that old DOD pedal in at least 15 years maybe longer
I will have to dig around tomorrow, when i can pull out some more boxes.
If i still have my old 'American metal' pedal than there should be a power supply with it, hopefully the one for this pedal too.

That said, i did a little online searching, and have fund posts where people say the sticker on the pedal is the sameas yours (so is mine,) but that the power supply was rated at 9 volts.I don't know if the adapter you show is wired the right way, but i found this:

Hmm... Ya, okay. We'll wait and see what shows up in those boxes. Thanks so much for looking around for me. This thing is about 25 years old and sounds really nice with a battery. I just can't keep buying batteries for it. Thanks again Twelvebar. We'll see what tomorrow brings.

Gldfshkpr, sorry man, I went through all the stuff, no more DOD stuff. i have no idea where it may be, lost over the years I guess. All i found was my old FX53 Classic Tube, which appears to be an overdrive. But I did find my old 80's crybaby!!! i thought it was gone forever. i'll have to compare it with the newer one i have and see if it's just nostalgia that made me think it was better. Also a couple old distortion pedals, various cheapo's.

But no luck on the power supply. i was really hoping I still had a couple of those other DOD pedals, and that maybe I still had the old Rockman.

Hey thanks for looking Twelvebar. I figured you'd find something interesting along the way. That happens to me too.

Turns out this pedal was made in '82 or '83. I guess it's vintage now  . I'll figure something out because it really does sound nice. Just eats batteries. I bought it last summer from my local shop for 15 bucks. Thing is built like a tank. Not surprised if it lasts another 28 years.

Oh and by the way, here's a shot of the thing.
