I have a few Teles and I also have to agree with the "pushing it" comment. As a tribute to the original, I might get it if I was more thinking of adding to the collection though no truss rod and single bridge pup could limit the playing time.

But to get it as my only (or say one of only a couple) guitars, probably not.
