Isn't that Leo Fender's prototype for the Telecaster?

Interesting. I saw a video of Clapton during his Cream days playing a Tele that had a 'snake head' like that yesterday and was wondering what the hell it was. I guess I know now...an old prototype Tele.

Shoot I'd love to get my hands on one of the originals. I remember when those remakes came out. Hefty price tag on a very bare bones guitar. Nostalgia.

That head is Ugly.
The tele head is already ugly, but that snakehead is dreadful.

Anyone else think the tele has such a nice shaped body, but the headstock just doesn't seem to fit. Too thin.
Anyway....

While I think the homage to leo is great and all I think they should have aleast learned from Leos mistake and added a truss rod. But that's just me.

BTW airbourne you won't find another group that know more about Teles the TDPRI.

Just told the missus I'm having a new guitar. That snakehead has long been of great intrest to me since I first heard of it. This is THE real telecaster, the 49 that everything else came from. Wonder if its got the huge no rod neck?

Can you imagine trying to sell it on? Thats gonna be a bunch of fun.

It looks just like what it is a prototype. I love Teles more than any guitar and that is just ugly. And it has the look of a guitar that is not smooth to play, like you would expect the action to be an inch off the fretboard.
