I think my favourite solo is SRV's "Tightrope", definitely one of his best.

that would be one of my picks as well.

I also have to add Albert King's "I'll Play The Blues for You, Pts. 1-2" from the album "I'll Play The Blues for You"

Excuse me...

"And Justice for All" -Metallica,
"Bit of Finger"-Black Sabbath,
"Hot For Teacher-Van Halen
"Tree Top Flyer"-Stephen Stills
"XYZ"-Rush
"Forty Six and Two"-Tool
Any solo by Jeff Beck or Dick Dale.
I have so many more but so little time......I mentioned Eddie Hazel on Maggot Brain earlier and had to add these.

Any solo by Eric Clapton or Slash is great but my favorite is the solo on Cocaine by EC. It has so much emotion in it and it flows with the melody so well it's just great work by Slowhand himself.

Another great solo is on Blackbird by AlterBridge. Mark Tremonti is a remarkable player.

oh that's a tough un! Been so many held that title. Songs like parisienne walkway, my guitar lies bleeding, both in 2nd half of estranged, scom for it's infuriating brilliance, amazin by aerosmith was one of the first. But right now it's a toss up between two short solo's. The show must go on, by queen, and the end solo in don't rescue me by the poodles

One of my favorite guitar solos is "Machine Gun" off of Jimi Hendrix's 'Band of Gypsys' live recording.

How this intense vocal quality solo elevates this song leaves me speechless :!:

I like both the original vinyl version as well as the remastered "Six Pack" version...Billy Gibbons at his finest!
