Great guitars, I've always liked the radical design of the JEM.

Agreed! the HSH configuration is pure genius!

Thanks again for all the kind posts. I've spent most of today playing a song on the Wolfie , then playing it again on the JEM. Finger tips are getting raw, but man, its amazing the performance level ( and differences ) of these two well made guitars.

I had hoped for both, and honestly it was easier to sell to the missus than I had originally thought!

I had a feeling you might be  . Of course your welcome to come play any of them whenever ya get the urge. 8)

Well well well Mr Thumbs, what a delightful pair you have there.
And another delightful pair soon to come  .

I must say sir, you have an eye for guitars. Their both beautiful.

Are you noticing other strings go out much when you use the D tuna? I tried a cheapie model wofgang years back and would have taken it, if not for that problem. I suppose it was just a setup issue, I was far too inexperienced at the time to spot it though.

Aye, the "other" pair have arrived as well! Although its hard to tell whats to remain and what is swelling at this point.

In regards to the D tuna, the other strings seem to be fine when switching in and out of. However; most of the time the E itself is a wee bit sharp when switching back out of drop D. If I give the tuna a lil nudge (until its firmly seated against the FR) then tuning is fine. I plan to apply some powdered graphite to any friction points as i suspect its just hanging up a bit.

Both FR's need a proper setting up. So i'll have to part with each for a short span in the near future.

Cheers!

Yup! That'd be why! Well that and I prestiged Thursday night and not all that eager about the starting over business. The shiney new toys have been a welcomed distraction. Dont worry though, I'll be back to murdering in mass quantities on monday. 8)
