No, not my woman.
I'm talking about my MIJ Telecaster. So beautiful, yet so frigid and remote with it's tiny frets and wimpy bridge pickup.
It's a 50's reissue from '90-something, 2 color sunburst. The field of the body is a deep caramel and the edges as close to black as brown can be.
The maple neck and fingerboard are a dark blond color. The tuners give the impression of nickel. White 5 screw pickguard.
Well, I used to look at it all the time, up there on my wall. But I never plugged it in 'cause it was too tough to fret.
I finally took it over to Bronson Guitar Works here in Scottsdale, AZ and he did a magnificent remodel on it. Refretted it with taller frets, refinished the fingerboard, put a Duncan 1/4 pounder in the bridge spot and new strings, of course. It came back cleaner than I ever had it, too.
It sounds great now, much better response. Like a Telecaster, but more so. When I hit an interval, I can almost hear the electron's death cries.
Bronson is an official Fender guitar tech and I can see why. Perfect job.

These Telecasters are such simple, perfect designs. Seems easier than my Strat to play. Less in the way. Have to learn to keep the unwanted noise down, like I do unconsciously on my Strat.

Anywayz, what a feeling....
