Well, I just picked up 2 of the Fender phones. Will post pics in a bit. it comes in a pretty cool case, and even the charger and head phones have the wood design on them.

Can I ask do they lock the phone to the network? I know a lot of phones in the U.S do. Down here we operate on a HSDPA 850/2100Mhz frequency and I was wondering if there was any info on that as I cannot seem to find it on the site :)

I'm keeping my eye on the UK T Mobile website, no sign of this phone on there yet. I really hope they get them in, I'll keep watching.

Tres cool phone, I'm sure we won't get it up in the white north.

If somebody told me in '65, or even '75 Mr. Clapton would be appearing in commercials for a telephone in 2010 I wouldn't have believed it.

If somebody told me in "65 Keith Richards would be falling out of a coconut tree in 2009, I would have believed them.

Big fan since the '60's, still am.

I know it's a exclusive deal with T-Mobile. So I assume it's supposed to only work with them, but there's probably people out there working on hacking it to allow it to work with other networks.

So far I haven't had any problems with the network.
I've been learning to play the bass too, just picked up a P Bass close off of Craigslist for $30 and spent $14 fixing it. I've been playing guitar for a long time but never really had a bass. I had a short scale bass for a couple of weeks but never really tried to learn it.
I've had this bass since Monday and have been playing it a ton, so far I've only really learned Sunshine of your Love and about the first 2 minutes of White Room, both Cream songs.
It's odd going back to the guitar now, the strings and neck seem so small, it's messing me up. lol.

I went to my local T-Mobile store today to check out the new fender phone. There was a display model and it looked pretty sweet. The sales clerk told me that if I was eligible for a 2 year contract I could get the phone for about $180. However, she did tell me that since it's a limited edition, there is no return policy for the phone.

Anyways, she checked on my current contract and told me I wasn't eligible (I've only had my current T-Mobile phone for a little over a year). She said I could still get the phone for full price--450 bucks!!

It's a nice looking phone with a great finish that matches my own strat, but sorry, no phone is worth $450 in my opinion.

(Also, the phones seem to be going fast. The store only got 5 phones in this week and they only had 2 left this afternoon.)

Yeah the store I went to, the guy needed 5, but was only able to get 3 in.

I paid about $370 for the 2 phones, but the guy also threw in 2 car chargers and 2 protective cases. And there was a $35 activation fee per phone he waived. Or claimed there was a fee lol. Either way, I paid about what I was expecting to pay and got a few extra things.

T-Mobile plans are expensive. Boost offers nice phones with any plan. Wish T-Mobile would do the same since I have a prepaid with them and hardly use the phone. But it sure would be nice to have a phone like that to load music on and look cool.

How about a giveaway Brad? :)
