so on monday's house there was a song at the end of it that was really really awesome. The guitar was phenominal. I looked it up and found this band caled Funkadelic. And their album Maggot Brain is really good. The title track is just 10min of pure electric guitar with a wah pedal. From what i heard, George Clinton told the guitarist Eddie Hazel to play like your mother just died.

heres the song

I listened to that way too much in '71, check out their 'Standing On The Verge Of Getting It On' LP, higher octane Funkadelic.

A blast from the past. This bamd has been around a long time, had Maggot when it first came out on vinal. Another good album by them is America eats it's young. George Clinton aka the Godfather of Funk is also a pioner of Funk Rock. 8)

Never heard that song before, but I really like it. Only thing lacking was a glass of wine (stores are closed now).

Eddie Hazel died at age 42 from liver failure. He is a member of the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame (for what it's worth).

I remember that album cover like it was yesterday. My friend Randy had it.
I remember him using a shoe box lid to roll the seeds out of his stuff in his little apartment LA.

Wow, a thousand years ago.
