ok- i'm going thru some of my old lp's today, and came across one of my old favorites- blue cheer. i forgot i still had it.

while looking it over, i came across a weird song title:

"magnolia caboose babyfinger"

my turntable has been long since retired, so i couldn't listen.

it begs the following:

what song title makes you go "what the.... is that all about?"
i'm talking about a title that has nothing to do with the words in the song, or one that's just funny. think jeff beck's "constipated duck"

your songs?

A lot of scene/experimental screamo bands have very strange song titles.

Cut Down All the Trees and Name the Streets After Them

Shhh!!! If You're Quiet I'll Show You a Dinosaur

Both above from The Fall of Troy. They're pretty good if you can handle that stuff. :]

Rat Tomago - Frank Zappa
Several Species of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together In A Cave And Grooving With a Pict - Pink Floyd
Happy With What You Have To be Happy With - King Crimson
a few of my favorites ;)

I love rush but haven't listened to each and every single one of their songs. A lot of the titles for there songs just make me think WTF?

Rush- By-tor and the snow dog

rush- Xanadu

Rush-the temples of syrinx

there pretty weird names compared to why I usualy listen to.

Bron-Yr-Aur - Zeppelin.

If I remember right it is the name of a farmhouse in Wales owned by Robert Plant - but I stand to be corrected. And assuming it is indeed in the Welsh language then don't even bother to try to pronounce it. We'll be wrong, whatever we come out with...

The Bonzo Dog Band(appeared in Magical Mystery Tour)had some great song titles:My pink half of the Drainpipe,Rhinocratic Oaths,Noises for the Leg,You've Done My Brain In.The Longest song title I've Ever seen is on Shawn Phillips' Second Contribution album:She Was Waiting For Her Mother At The Station In Torino And You Know I Love You Baby But It's Getting To Heavy To Breathe.Strangely enough the title has little or nothing to do with the song, which is quite beautiful and certainly worth looking up.BTW the band Death Cab For Cutie took their name from the song the Bonzos sang on Magical Mystery Tour.

"sexual harrassment in the workplace"
"take your clothes off when you dance"
"variations on the carlos santana secret chord progression"
"dwarf nebula processional march and dwarf nebula"
