I've had one for a while. I only ever played 4 songs on it!

My old band used to do "unplugged" shows and I used it in a bluegrass type song we wrote. We won a couple of songwriting contests and that song might have been one of the winners (it was a long time ago ...)

Oh, my mandolin is vintage! A 1953 Martin A style ...

I have a near mint circa 68 Kent electric mandolin a buddy gave me after he found it hard to play. The action was extremely high so I took off the neck, shimmed and reset it and lowered the bridge and that made the world of difference.I'm still trying to play but after so many years of playing guitar it's hard to adapt to the skinny neck and narrow fret spacing. I don't know how guys like Marty Stuart and Roy Clark can switch so effortlessly.

I would love to try my hand at the Mandolin, They sound so sweet. But I think I have my hands full with the Bass and Guitar. Bill Monroe was one of my Heros. 8)

Hey Chet, you double-whammied yourself. It's one thing to pick up a mando, but a left handed mando is pushing it!

We might have the same $49 Rogue by the way. I bought the black for me and the sunburst for my son. Mine doesn't get a lot of love but for the money it's a pretty decent little instrument. I don't play it much except for fills ( Ripple, etc) and actually was inspired to buy it because of a single song, Rory Gallagher's 'Goin To My Hometown'. I am in awe of some mando pickers, Ricky Skaggs, Marty Stuart, and of course Sam Bush.

A ukelele is a lot of fun too, but only a psycho would bring a banjo into the house...

Yeah, I got lucky. LOL Mine is a Santini.

I have been eying Left Handed Banjo's at Rondo Music too!!! And Uke's are one of those instruments that swapping the strings around would make it left handed.
