Thankyou all for all your support in this rough timeIt was a great comfort to all of us to know that people from around the world took the time to send prayers and such kind words of support(such is the brotherhood and fellowship of the Fender Forum)it touched us deeply and was very much appreciated. The funeral was a great celebration of this gentle kind woman who bought me my first guitar and taught me my first song on piano at 3.The organist played her(and my)favourite Bach pieces and my 1st cousin wrote a beautiful poignant eulogy that brought both laughter and tears. The minister who has been one of Mom's closest friends gave a stirring respectful tribute also and we sang Mom's favourite hymns. My mother had the deepest faith I've ever seen(something the minister touched on)and was always there for anyone going through troubled times, she was the rock for many people.Anyway thankyou all on behalf of my family, your support really helped bouy us through this difficult time.God Bless You All.Derek.

Dear Derek,

Our condolences. My wife and I can relate very well. My wife's father passed away just 2 weeks ago. My wife was having a hard time in dealing with it, and is doing better this week. So we have been going through a similar ordeal. Our prayers are with you, and rememberthat this to will come to pass.

One thing that is very nice, is the fact that your mother had a strong faith. So be strong, and be happy to know your mother loved you a lot and would not want you to be sad. She is in good hands, I am sure.

Mom always loved children she was a teacher and librarian as well as being a church organist. She would appreciate it I'm sure if people gave to the Christian Childrens fund(helps kids in 3rd world countries)or any charity that exists to help or protect children.Thankyou, that's a lovely thought.

My whole-hearted and most sincere condolences go out to you, your family, your loved ones, and your mother's friends, family, and loved ones. I wish you all that you need in this difficult time. Just know that we are, and always will be, here for you.

Your mom will always be with you, no matter what form she is in, or what form you are in. You two will always be together. Always. ♥♥♥

Hi guitslinger: it's the next day by the time I'm posting this. Somehow the day after a funeral has its own kind of sadness too, so be aware that in lands far away people are holding you, your family and your mother in their hearts.

Have strength.

- C
