I'm so excited about this I had to post it, I have to share in my joy. :P

Today I dusted off my old red Jekyll and Hyde pedal. I used to play it constantly, but about a year ago when I "discovered" SRV, Hendrix, and 60's blues rock I put it away because I thought it sounded too modern. And out came my old RAT distortion/fuzz, my new overdrive, and my wah.

But today I started thinking about trying something new and out of the Hendrix/SRV box. So I threw my Jekyll and Hyde in my backpack and headed to the gig. I hooked up my wah first, then my Jekyll and Hyde, and lastly my overdrive into my Deluxe VM. So now I essentially had a distortion and two overdrives. And the tone!!! I sounded like a CD tonight. The dual overdrives gave me the opportunity to use one of the overdrives all the time for light distortion, and the other for a boost! I should have been doing this a long time ago. And on top of that, I finally found the perfect settings for the delay on my amp. It really sounded like professional quality, CD tone. Not the garage band, kid-has-no-idea-what-those-knobs-do tone like before. :D

I tried telling my parents and brother about it on the way home, but none of them get what I'm so happy about.

I haven't taken any videos for several months, but I do have the audio recording of Sunday night's show. I'll see what I can do. :D
