First of all Hi everyone this is my first post.

I'm gonna play with two amps (5150 + behringer cab 4x12 and jcm900 + to-be-bought-futur-cab) and I've been on the hunt for the best pedal to switch from these two..

sure there's the boss line selector but I came across this pedal that can switch two amps but also can play them both at the same time so it's kind of a plus from the line selector I think. The thing is I don't know this company and don't find any feedbacks anywhere... So I ask you guys your opinion on the best pedal to suit me and your thoughts about my find.

the big shot is very nice for this and will serve you well........I like the Morley beacuse you can run 3 amps, or 2 guitars and one amp say in rehershal or what ever or use the third to run through the FX loop and be able to turn the loop on or off via foot switch.....the morley does so much more....Just my 2 cents though.......

Whats the point of bringing them all that way then only using one at a time?

Why dont you use both of them in stereo? Get a nice stereo delay/chorus/reverb pedal and prepare to be amazed.

If you still want to use both separately, my advise would be to use one cab and plug both heads into the one cab then use a line switcher (Like the Tonebone) to alternate between the two. It saves you carrying round another cab.

Yeah, i do it with a Hot Rod Deville and a 65 Twin Reverb and a Line 6 M9.

It works great since the textures of both amps help to carve out more of a finite sound.

Hi This is also my first time on this fender site , it looks great ,well heres my two cents , I used the radial big shot ABY box for a long time , I believe it is one of the best amp switching pedals out there , very rugged and , great features , but like someone else suggested , get a nice stereo effect pedal to run them both , i gave up the ABY box , and did just that , i am using a vintage Morely crystal chorus , and it is great , your amps are both always on , but when you decide to use the chorus ,or whatever you choose you will be amazed

since you've been so helpful, may I ask you another question...

what's the best cab? Marshall jcm900 4x12 celestion GT12-75 300watts 1999.... or... Rivera 4x12 vintage 30 don't know how many watts and it's pretty new

same price, to play with a marshall head jcm900

Im guessing that by JCM 900 cab you mean the marshall 1960 cab

Well, its tone subjective.

The marshall 1960 well known as tanks, since they are INVINCIBLE. You wouldnt belive what Matt Bellamy does to them, He throwns them on the ground, jumps on top, rips a few solos then stabs his guitar straight threw the cab itself. This cab suits all styles of playing, slightly leaning towards the heavier, more gain side

Not alot to tell from the Rivera, but looking at the specs it should be an equally good sounding cab yet leaning probably towards the cleaner stuff due to the vintage 30s.

However, since your using a marshall head, maybe its a good idea using the marshall cab with it to compliment the sound.

Both speakers sound different as you would expect..My personal preference is the V-30’s.. there a bit more mid range and seeing as how I usually scoop out a lot of my mid range freq. on the Amp the v-30 compensates that better for my sound.. the celestion GT12-75 have a darker sounding vibe to my ear and have a higher watt rating so at high volumes have less speaker distortion and work better for mass headroom……Like Big The Cat said its subjective….your gonn have to see which sounds best to you and matches your style……Here is a link..I posted this on another thread but it applies to this one as well…it shows the same guitar same head with identical setting but with different cabs to show how different speakers sound…again its gonna be different over computer speakers then live but you can hear the difference and get an idea. Easier than a/b’ing cabs for a day by yourself. (although not as fun)…LOL

I use a quad box by morley. two inputs, so you can switch between either guitars, and two outputs to amps, so you can play thru one or the other, or both. Its a yellow pedal with 3 footswitches. they have a black pedal that operates differently, not sure, but I think it routes one guitar to two amps or 2 guitars to one amp, which you can select or combine as needed.

I dont get a guitar switcher, surely its not too difficult to unplug a guitar and plug in your other?

Personally id go with the rivera, just because its different :?
