My brother brought my 7 month old niece round for a visit, she's a real sweet heart. So uncle snowy was left to keep her amused, while dad grabbed some shuteye. We played boucy bouncy for longer than I would have liked  watched a few toons, and generally being very noisy. After a while it became obvious she needed a nap, but she kept fighting the sleep. I came upstairs and got my new Tele, and my Vox practice amp. Went back downstairs, plugged the Tele in, set a nice bluesy tone and gentle volume. I began strumming some chords, and the babies eyes lit up! I got her comfy in her travel chair, and gave her a toy. She didn't take her eyes off me, so I started to play and sing to her. After about five minutes, she was sound asleep. It was a surprising feeling, I still have a huge grin on my face

I think I have a fan in Ruby 8)

I have a 13 year old a 8 year old and 5 year old...All but the 13 year old who has the typical teenage attitudes that will soon be beat out of her if she doesn't get with the program i'm off the subject aren't i..

Anyway the two younger ones still fall asleep to me playing low volume slowhand blues..I also still love to watch it ...I hope you have many more memories like this one....

I hate teenage girls     Why can't they just stay sweet and adorable...

Snowy,

Great story...great memory for you. You have a beautiful niece.

I remember playing for my children when they were younger, they loved it. Now both are teenagers. Life was simplier back then. Everyday is a new advernture now.
