Ya know that Fender has the California cable and I've seen 'em for 10 bucks. Also Guitarfetish.com has an assortment of cables but I've never used or talked to anyone that has.

I like Conquest cables because they use Belden cable and Switchcraft jacks, and they are very affordable and reliable. I also like ProCo cables as they are high quality. And believe it or not, HosaPro cables are not that bad either, though you have to make sure they are the HosaPro line, as some of their other lines might not be as decent.

Planet waves!!!!

their cables are genuinely great! I started replacing all my current cables (A mixture of livewire, cable guys and venom) and they've just started sounding pretty damn nice!

I've got a couple of Planet Waves cables and they work just fine. I've also got some Live Wire for connecting pedals and they do an excellent job as well.

I also use a Fender California cable, have been using it for years and its never let me down.

Thanks everybody. Was switching around cables to my effects last night at home and noticed a big difference in tone. I have four different types of cables of varying quality. The ProCo cable sounds much better than the Musician's Gear pedal cable for instance. I have a no name one foot cable that just sucks the tone if put between my Big Muff and Delay. Never noticed or knew a cable could make that much of a difference!

Thanks for the recommendations. I have some shopping to do now.

For the most part I noticed early on that cables made a difference as I can remember those really cheap ones that came with no name brand guitars when I was young and looked like they were built for a walkman rather than a guitar. When I got older I went high end and bought two sets of Monster Cables which cost a lot but 8 years later they are as solid as the day I bought them. So I guess sometimes you do get what you pay for.

DiMarzio cables... Thats interesting.

I'll have to try them.

They're not cheap, but you only have to get them once. Best Cables and great service.
