Did anyone here go see John Mayer Trio in Las Vegas fro New Years Eve. My girlfriend and I went it was a great show. We ended up being front and center right against the railing. Great Show and I got some videos of some of the songs. Check it out here on my youtube. http://www.youtube.com/user/stevesaccord

Steve, nice video and I actually liked the blues cut you got...looked like a Dumble and a Two-Rock behind him?

That's pretty cool. I was front and center so my girlfriend and I each caught one of the picks that he actually uses and we also got small tins with a bunch of the JM3 NYE picks. It was a great show.

Glad you had a great time, could you give a bit more details on how the show was and did anything surprising happen.

Amazing guitar playing from song one. Best songs performed out of the ordinary were Ain't No Sunshine, California Dreaming, and a Chuck Berry Medley of Run Rudolph Run and Johnny B. Goode. Also saw him play a Gibson SG for the first time. It was amzaing to see him play the stuff he does from the front row. Great Great Show.

Not a fan of John Mayer, but I do love Steve Jordan's drumming.

On New Years I went to this party..

It was at the Crazy Horse 3. There's a bar attached to it called Dead Man's Hand. The new owners of the Bar are Jerry Cantrell and Scott Ian.. So they had this small intimate show that wasn't advertised. I just knew about it from a friend of a friend who just happened to be doing the sound for the show.

I would say that at the peak of the night there was about 100 people. It was just a nice drunken party.

The entertainment was Corey Taylor (Slipknot), Jerry Cantrell (Alice In Chains), Scott Ian (Anthrax), and a whole host of guest performers doing all '70's and 80's covers. Vinnie Paul (Pantera) played some drums for a couple songs. Meatloaf played a couple. There was this girl named Queen V that was KILLER!! She had an awesome voice!!

It was kind of surreal. Hahaha. They were just partying and having a good time onstage. I was REALLY surprised at how good Corey Taylor was at singing covers. He really is a true professional, and he did it all pretty effortlessly.

Best New Years party I've ever been to by far!!

Here's some videos from that night:

This is a review from the gig:

Edit: Ok, I had to remove one of the vids.. Too many F-Bombs in Rock-n-Roll All Night..
