Hello Folks,Some of you may recall back in October I asked for prayers for my Mom who rushed to hospital and gravely ill.I'm sure these prayers and thoughts made it possible for her to hang on so long as when she heard that so many people from all over were concerned about her she was really touched and fortified.She was in hospital 'til New Year's eve when she was transfered to a nursing home.Over the months her condition deteriorated but she hung on to the surprise of medical staff she remained pretty lucid 'til the end.Although she couldn't speak when we visited her yesterday she was alert and smiled a lot and rolled her eyes if any of us cracked a joke.The head nurse checked on her 4:30 this morning and she was just a little restless but when they checked on her 15 minutes later she had gone,peacefully in her sleep,absolutely no suffering,which is a Godsend.My family and I would like to thank you all for your prayers and kind thoughts as we are sure they played a major part in her staying with us so much longer.Thankyou and God Bless. Sorta' new here, guitslinger but you have my sympathies. Been there done that. My mom died 23 years ago and would have been 91 this very day.
