Although it pales in comparison to the serious guitar-building projects on this site, I thought I'd share a little something I did the other day. I was inspired by the IKEA Hacker website (http://ikeahacker.blogspot.com/).

It's just two framed pictures I got on clearance from Bed Bath & Beyond ($6.69 each) bolted to the legs from two LACK side tables from IKEA ($7.99 each). The result is a pair of unique and interesting tables for my music room!

Ha - neat! Good work. :D

Do the record labels have real info on them - who's discs are they?

BTW: the nosy swine in me can't help glancing around the rest of the room. Tantalised by the book titles I can read - and more tantalised by those I can't! Also: all the years I've wanted one of those pyramid metronomes. But damn they're expensive - there's always something more pressing to spend that cash on... :(

Also, trying to work out the acoustic guitar from the shape of the bridge, but I can't get it. ID on that guit, please?

Hi Ceri! No, they're colored blobs that suggest record labels, but you can't really make anything out. They actually look more like the labels from Mexican beer bottles!

Before you get too impressed with the metronome, you should know it's a $15 plastic cheapie I got on eBay. But it works well and looks cool. As for the books, you'll just have to come see them for yourself! 8)

That is an Ibanez Talman electroacoustic. According to the company's copy, it "combines the rich sound of an acoustic with the size, upper fret access and radical rock and roll looks of an electric." It's a nice little guitar that sounds great through the amp, but it's a little thin and unsatisfying as a true acoustic guitar.

Ah - well there's yet another guitar I didn't know. So yet more learning on the Fender Forum. Thank you!

Cheers - C
