These are all easy as long as you can play most or the 7 main chords with thier minors. Have fun with them.

Patience, Don't Cry, Sweet Child of Mine(all but solos) - Guns N Roses
Knockin on Heavens Door - Eric Clapton
Simple Man - Lynyrd Skynyrd
House Of the Risin Sun - The Animals
Saving Me - Nickleback
Turn The Page - Bob Segar
Home - Daughtry
Won't Back Down, Free Fallin - Tom Petty

Being fairly new myself I can give the following suggestions. Most Nirvana and Green Day (About a Girl was my first song), AC/DC Dirty Deeds, Black Sabbath Paranoid are a few I was taught by my teacher. After that I went on my own and picked up bits and pieces of various songs. There's a cool teacher on YouTube named Marty Schwartz, look him up. He gives lessons on all kinds of songs and they're easy to follow. You'll watch a video and pick up the song and have fun with it. Learn the 12 bar blues too, it's fun and easy to learn and it sounds like you're actually playing your guitar even if you are still struggling. Have fun!

Honky Tonk parts 1 and 2- Bill Doggett
Johnny B. Goode- Chuck Berry
Walk Don't Run- The Ventures
Pipeline- The Chantays
Wipe Out- The Surfaris

That brings us to 1963, kind of abbreviated but learn these and you will find your way around the fret board a little easier.
