Any converse collectors on here? I just started my collection. Although I have been wearing the shoes since I was like, 5.
I would post a picture of'em, but I dunno how.

I just own one pair. Black with white soles and logo.

But when I was a kid these were the cheapest shoes you could get, so because I wasn't from a very rich family I used get these shoes alot. :D

I wore white hi tops mostly, growing up in the 70's. I can remember payin' $8.00 a pair.

I have nine pair of Converse...I'll take a photo tonight. There is a teacher in my school who has almost 90 pair, all different.

I can honestly say that i've never owned a pair. I don't like the way they fit. I'm more for barefooting when i'm not wearing boots.

Oh man, I’m definitely guilty here.
I have tried to limit myself to the ones I will actually wear, but a few of those “Sailor Jerry” ones with the pin-ups on the bottom I can’t bring myself to wear because I don’t want to mess up the soles 
I tend to just wear the classic black ones most of the time, but also have the leather versions for the winter.

I have two pair of Converse--one All Star/Chuck Taylor and one Sailor Jerry. I just love them.

I started wearing them because I saw a picture of my dad when he was in the Air Force during the days of the Korean War, and lo and behold, he had a pair of Converse shoes on!

I guess I'm just a daddy's girl.

Count me in, I have a black pair I got for my birthday last year. And I just got a red pair for Christmas. Each pair match the two basses I play the most. :)

I guess I am now. We use them as part of our formal attire for the band. We are all dressed up except for the Converse All-Star shoes. We were the black hi-tops with white laces.

I have always thought they looked cool. I have had sport type shoes in the past, addidas, nike, keds (when I was a youngster), in the late 90s Tommy Hilfiger made some suede hi-tops and low-tops, I had both back then.

This may cause an uproar but here goes.....I've always liked Cons however since the Nike takeover I wouldn't buy a pair for the simple reason that Nike,Adidas and Reebock employ sweat shops to supply the public's demand for their products while paying people like Tiger Woods millions and millions to walk around wearing their products. This is not slander or hearsay but is public knowledge readily available on human rights and anti sweat shop web sites.
