[quote="gratz"]My resturant is due open at the beginning of next month, all permits and plan approvals are done and we've started construction.

NOW.....I have a great idea for a place of honor for that Stratocaster Ceri's resurrecting.

.......but that's just good pipe-dreaming. 8)

Good luck with your endeavor. Looks like it will be a nice place.

If I'm ever out that away, I'll drop in.

Thanks guys for all the well wishes ,Doc I love the idea of being able to display NTU guitar in my place even if only temporary.
Gil if you do make it out here please bring your family, I remember one of your daughters wanted to become a chef maybe I can provide some inspiration.
Rumba you and Ninja are 2 of the guys I would really enjoy meeting some day ,never say never.
Big Jay ,I'll do my best to give you an overview of our concept.I guess decore would be sort of hard rock cafeish ,lots of sighed guitars in cases and memeroblia but with a more vintage flavor to the appointments, lots of Fender stuff. Staff will be more formally dressed in Black pants and Fender Custom shop Shirts ,black apron, most are female and I have worked with in the past.
We are open lunch ,dinner and late night,Full Bar Will post menu,s latter but the cusine is american with focus on fresh preparation, check average
for lunch 8-12$ dinner 12-16$ ,we seat about 75 at once.
The music connection is recorded music (light rock ,country, real jazz) during lunch and afternoon.1 2 OR 3 piece bands playing dinner music in the evening .Late night will is where the fun starts 9pm.I have a house band that plays covers and will provide a opportunity for players to sit in .My goal is to be able to have young guitar players have a place to perform for there friends and families without having to put together there own bands and find a gig and lug equipment and hope everything goes well. They would be able to chose a song get on a list and wait your turn . Part of the show is the band asking the chef to play a couple during the evening ,so I come out in my chefs and play a little guitar for my guests. We are going to have open jams a lecture series ,spirtual readers, poetry ,and dinners with artist. The idea is to create a place that promotes live music and good food as a way of life.

Gratz,
The place sounds really nice. I'm looking forward to coming out there to eat. I may be visiting the Southwest this summer if I don't go to Italy...I miss it and need some need pueblo pottery. I fondly remember going to the Sonora Desert Museum and Sabino Canyon.

Mate, this cafe/bar is going to go off the hook!!! what a great idea- I would love to see what the end result is- I would love it if someone would do the same in my neck of the woods- perhaps something you should consider if all goes well- open a few venues with good music, good food, and a good taste of guitars to look at :D
