My resturant is due open at the beginning of next month, all permits and plan approvals are done and we've started construction.

When's the opening party? Imagine a mass of forum members converging on your cafe for opening night. :D (is that a dream or nightmare for opening night).

You may want to ask Brad if you can advertise the opening date. After all your a longstanding, valued forum contributor as well as being a fender fanatic. If push comes to shove offer him a free feed. That last one on its own would swing me.

Lets hope we never see Gordon Ramsey there.

Incidentally theres a good foody program on the BBC at the moment. The Hairy Bikers are touring the country inviting people to share their family recipes. They even taught me how to cook chips (like frenchfries but thicker) last night, despite me being a chip expert.

Some nice down to earth nosh on that show. Get them lads round, with the current spate of UK TV chef's going to America I'm sure they'd jump at the chance.
Here's a excerpt from their previous TV series (recipes from around the world)

Hi everyone , Thank you for the kind responses. CV I was writing back last night and the laptop went wonky. We are in the NW side of Tucson, a place called foothills mall. Nic all forumites are welcome and if you wear your forum tee shirt and identify you forum name I buy lunch. Unless your shirt is yellow than you get not. G.O. is jan31 Private party, To public Feb 1. I really hope Chef Ramsey does show up, I agree with his culinary ideas and would not be affraid to cook for him. Besides ive already cooked for Jacque Prepin, no big thing.
All food is freshly prepare and most of it grown or raised within a 100 miles of the resturant.Menu will be posted latter.[img]
this is the stage area just to the right of the bar.I have this cool vision of a bunch of forumites my euro friends included all just jammin and feasting .[/img]

It's more fear of you having to suffer Gordon's language I'm concerned with mate.

PS Tell me your not pouring cocktails off the top of the extended scissorlift.

Pay close attention to them Hairy Bikers, there's a wide variety of foods in their programs. Your bound to find a few things you can use.

Nice work! I always think it's so cool when people go out on a limb and do their own thing. I wish you all the best!
