I listen every sunday morning to WZLX, with carter allen. Great blues show. I have a couple of friends that got play time on the air, by submitting their cds. Great hook-up for some locals. If your from Boston, there are various blues jams in the area. The Cove Lounge, Revere beach is a great one. The house band is awesome and usually you get to play 3 songs when you sign in. They even make me sound good.

Thanks for the link and welcome!

Here in SoCal, try KKJZ "Nothin' But the Blues" on Saturday and Sunday afternoons from 2 to 7. They're 88.1 and they're also on the Web.

The rest of the time, KKJZ has great jazz programming for all you blues fans who're also into jazz.

Thanks for the info and welcome. I can assure you this is not a communist site and the only thing really not allowed on the site is trying to sell a guitar.lol

There is a local public access radio station run by Saddleback Community College here in Southern California that has a three hour show every Sunday from 12:00 - 3:00 that plays only Blues. The station is 88.5 KSBR. The announcer, "Fat Cat", usually plays a very good selection.

If your interested, the following three hours from 3:00 - 6:00, they play Reggae.

I wish. Unless there's something I don't know about I have no blues stations or shows available to me in Edmonton. I could spring for Sirius and get the BB King station 24/7 but I'd rather complain. If things are too perfect then you can't play the blues right? :D

+1

Carter is a nice guy too. I've had some of me and my band's stuff played on his show. I've also done a few gigs at the Club Caravan (under new owners now) in Revere at the circle.

Satch Romano's jams on the south shore are hard to beat though. Lots of noted locals stop in to jam.

Always a great time and his original Vibrolux sounds great!

Also Brandeis U has a station called "True Blues" that's on for two hours each day and features local artists as well as known legends!

WBRS-FM

+1. The Blues and Beyond. It's a great show, and I'm dialed into it almost every Saturday.

What's cool is, on Monday nights, I think about 7pm, they rerun the last hour of the Saturday show, so you get another dose of some great Blues.

There are a couple of excellent blues and jazz stations on Sirius satellite radio and on last.fm you can program in your favourite blues artist and listen to your heart's content.
