Does anyone know how the serial numbers will be going for the 2010 American Standards? Fender can't continue format because Z0xxxxx would indicate 2000. thanks

Seems to me they could continue by using the letter "O" for one and then zero. I suppose it would look odd at first.

Hey, thanks. I posted this question on the Jazz Bass forum as well and got the same suggestion. It makes sense though to use an O.

does anyone have any confirmation yet on this issue. Really want to buy an American Standard that was made in 2010. Has anyone bought a new strat and looked in the neck pocket to see the date there with relation to the serial number?

tired searching all over the net and this forum but can't find anything confirmed.

Maybe someone at Fender would like to shed some light on this issue :)
