Does anybody know how to date an OLP MM1 guitar? I bought it new @3-4 years ago. It had been sitting in the shop for a while. In fact it was hanging well above everybody's head at my local GC all alone, like it was on display and not for sale. I'm sure many people never even noticed it. I asked the sales person to get it down for me. I'm not even sure they knew it was there either. I walked out with it in exchange for $150.

It's a real looker and is a solid axe. I bought it for my son who lives in a different state. He comes to visit every summer. When he returned home, his dad bought him a Strat or Strat copy. Not sure. Never seen it. Anyhow, to make a short story long... last time he was here he wasn't very interested in it at all. I'm considering using it myself as a backup to my Strat.

Just took it out and the serial number is 60750971. The bridge saddles are weirdly set high. I guess I never bothered setting it up properly. It's practically new. The pickups sound a bit toyish. Maybe a pot change could fix that. People say they mimic the sound of the real deal Ernie Ball model fairly well.

Thanks for reading. I originally though I'd just post the number, then thought maybe some background info would be interesting.

By the way, the OLP (Originally Licensed Product) brand has closed it's doors since January 2009, so info on these is getting harder to find. I'll post some pics.
