I didn't know exactly how K-tel worked it out. I know that all the ones I bought were the original artists but the songs were always cut short. You had to always look for the fine print, "as performed by......"

Ronco, genius marketing for cheap crap. I remember a couple years ago helping a friend move he had a Pocket Fisherman still in the box that he'd gotten as a joke from his dad or something. It was pretty funny. And I had no idea that company was still around, must be the commercials dried up because I hadn't heard of them in forever.
