Is it me or does everybody eventually succumb to the series at some point. I mean, they're talking about the "70s and 80's now. I would have never thought. It's looking good to me...

Ha Ha. Nine Cd's! If you're not completely satisfied... I haven't ordered yet, but I thought about it. Am I just getting old and nostalgic?

P.S.
(I never wrote this. I was never here.)

I have just folded space from Time-Life Books. They have plans within plans....but I must share. 8)

First to ply you with nostalgia. Second, to remind you of all the songs you've forgotten and should have includeded in your play list. Third, to convince you that, without these, you lose self-respect. Then they close the trap.

I did not say this. I was never here.

Yaaaawwwwn!! Don't think so. The threads one responds to are posted to everyone following them. Besides, it's morning in Europe and Scandanavia, and well into the day east of there.

Okay. I've had my laughs! Thanks for the replies. Enough is enough. They give the live video concerts of the songs while advertising. It's so tempting...

Just having a bit of fun with my beer tonight fellow Fender owners. It's all good.

You can't post as 'anonymous.' That individual is the most well known and prolific of all writers. Might as well post as "Hemingway" :P

Oh...and I forget to note that it is still about 9;30 am PST so guys like xhefri and orville might still be up and running. Just yo yo's like us burning the midnite oil.

(This of course isn't me and therefore never happened) I am always watching those commercials memories flying every where, http://rollingstonesmusic.com/ a little record store in Norridge, IL. sometimes has those collections in their miscellaneous bins.

I get "old and nostalgic" every time I hear what my kids are listening to.

I've managed to aquire pretty much all of the classics without buying into these. Anything I couldn't find or trade for I did an LP dump to the computer.

If these are like the old "K-tel" collections from back in the day the biggest problem was every song was cut short. Oh wait, I'm old, does anyone here even remember the "K-tel" collections, sold in dept stores along with every product put out by Ronco, like the pocket fisherman or the glass froster?

I haven't given into the temptation so far. Live and learn... We'll see. Play on my brothers and sisters. Play on...

I remember K-Tel well. As I recall, they offered the original artist a fraction of a penny per record sold in royalties. If the artist agreed, the song was unmodified. Otherwise, they modified it slightly (including cutting out some "recognizable hook" or whatever) or later on had a studio band record and make minor changes.

Ronco -- great stuff -- Ron Popiel is a legend and although he sold the company, I think he and some family are still involved as consultants.
