Here's a charitable organization that might interest some of you:

Guitars for Vets

From the group's mission statement:

Guitars for Vets is a non-profit organization that enhances the lives of ailing and injured veterans by providing them with guitars and music instruction. Through self-expression and the healing power of music, it is our intent to restore the feelings of joy and purpose that can be lost after suffering trauma.

Disclaimer: I have no personal stake in this group whatsoever. I just stumbled upon it and thought some members of the Fender forum might find it interesting. I'm not trying to launch a political debate. If it interests you, check it out. If not, then don't.
