Can anyone help me identify a guitar? I recently became the owner of a Fender Showmaster. It is Korean made, the neck is a fixed neck and not a bolt on, has 24 frets with MOP or abalone dot inlay, the body is solid babinga wood and is not laminated, has a 3-way switch, one volume & one tone control, and dual Seymore Duncans. I'm not sure what kind of tremolo it has, it's not a Floyd Rose. I'm curious, and I need to sell it......I have been told that it was a cheap version that has been discontinued, but that was from someone who was going to do me a favor and take it off my hands for a few bucks. It plays incredibly nice and sound fabulous compared to other fenders that I've had the pleasure of owning. Does anyone know anything about this, or where I can get more information about it?
Thanks!

Sounds like you might have a good one there.

Thanks for the quick response! I'm new to this forum....Did I post my question in the correct place? Do you know of anywhere else that I can look for an answer to what this is, and what it is worth? I have a family to support, and as much as I would like to keep it, I can't.

I hope That I did this correctly...
This looks like the Special Edition Showmaster® QBT HH but it does not appear to have a laminated top. When I look inside the back cover, it appears to be a solid babinga body.... Let me know what you think
Thanks!

Hi Leatherstuff.com: welcome to the Forum.

Hey, nice guitar! Very pretty.

It definitely is a bubinga top on what looks like a mahogany body. The
grain on the front is entirely different to the rest of the instrument.

Nothing wrong with that - that's how guitars are usually made.

Yours looks very cool and appears to be in good condition. A quick glance
at Ebay finds several Showmasters (including right now a bubinga topped
one) mostly selling in the $500 - 600 range. Any use to you?

Cheers - C

PS I took a quick look at leatherstuff.com. Much less scary than I
feared... No guitar straps though... :?
