I think we should all heed what Ceri said and just ignore this whole thing. The moderator(s) will handle it.

No need working yourself up over a petty thing such as this.

Haha, yeah, to me, but not to her.
She hates getting up in the morning, so if I'm lucky, I'll be eating them by dinner.

And that's if she even agrees to it. :P

Edit: Typo

Driving? Only when necessary. Too many accidents waiting to happen.

Drivers who pull onto a limited access highway and think you should give them the right of way to merge, so, YOU either have to slow down, or hit them.
Fortunately, I drive an old three quarter ton Dodge van, so, if I have to put them into the wall, I haven't lost much.
If anyone like that is reading this, remember..........I'M OUT THERE!

I don't know what a limited access highway is, we don't have one here that I know off, but on our highways in Nevada we are required to allow traffic entering from the on-ramp to merge. But, they are also required to be at highway speed when merging. It works well, most of the time.

The one that gets me is when a driver in the right lane tries to pass a line of cars and muscle their way back in when they can't pass anymore. I used to have an old beater Ford that had lots of "character", if you know what I mean, dents and bad paint if you don't. Anyway, some guy in a nice new subaru wrx with a coffee table on the trunk lid tried that one day and I saw him coming in the side view mirror from a long way back. It was a construction zone with plenty of signs warning of the end of the right lane. I was at that end and he actually tried to push me over to get in the open lane after passing everyone else. Bad mistake, that battle was lost before it even started. I held my ground and he backed off, getting stuck in the closed right lane and likely passed by many more vehicles than he originally tried to cut in front of in the first place.

Wow, this was an interesting thread! I wonder if anyone here ever heard of "projecting"? I think Freud came up with it.....

Anyhow, what kills me off is the person to hogs the passing lane, and is shoulder to shoulder with vehicles in the left lane, not letting anyone pass/ When you finally pass the person (on the right side...Sorry Ceri, we are not in the UK), it is some young girl on her cell phone, oblivious to the rest of the world.

Wow, if you tried that in Italy, they come up to your back bumper, flash their lights while honking their horn and then scream around you in their BMW doing 160 KPH (99 MPH for us Yankees).....

Hahaha! :D

Luckily in Italy they all drive the same way, which helps avoid (more) accidents.

One time I saw nose-to-tail traffic stop-starting up a steep hill. Absolutely none of those drivers bothered to do a handbrake start: each one took his foot off the brake and then rolled backwards about five feet before he got his gas engaged and pulled fowards up the hill. (No self-respecting Italian would have an automatic gear box.) If just one of them had done a proper handbrake hill start the one in front would have rolled back and hit him, but in fact they all rolled backwards together before moving forwards in perfect choreography.

It was poetry to watch!

Cheers - C
