Music?

Movies?

Life?

:?:

No politics please.

Best for me was being declared cancer free and in remission *Feb 09*

Worst was several deaths of friends and relatives.

Best movies I've seen this year have been The Hangover, I Love You Man(which features several Fender guitars and basses), and Watchmen.

Music-I really enjoyed the new Cobra Skulls, Dead to Me and Mariachi El Bronx.

Best has gotta be some of the gigs ive done this year.

More recently in one day I had a gig at 13:00 jumped in a truck, threw all the gear in, went home to throw more gear in the truck, went to a gig in a square, threw all the gear out, played the gig at 3:30, threw it all back in, went to a pizzaria, then drove all the way to this big hall, threw all the gear out, played the gig at 7:00, threw it all back in the truck then went home and just slept.

You have to admit, three gigs in one day is pretty hardcore, im just glad the last one didnt last till over 12:00

the weirdest moment has gotta be when barak obama won that peace prize. What did he do to get that?

The worst has gotta be.... probably drummers. They can be such a pain. Im still looking for a new one to this date.

movies - Sandra Bullock in The Proposal - good
movies - Pink Pather II -worse

quotes - "I consider my entire movie career a failure. The goal of movie-making is to star in a film where your performance drives the film and the film is either a soaring critical or commercial success, and I never had that." -- Alec Baldwin, vowing to quit acting in 2012.

"In real life, I'm completely different. I'm very smart. I think a lot of people will assume I'm an airhead." -- Paris Hilton.

"I don't know anything about cars." -- Edward Whitacre Jr., newly appointed chairman of GM, who added that "a business is a business, and I think I can learn".

Music - Amazon put up an interesting list of “Outstanding ‘09 Albums You Might Have Missed” featuring a lot of the kind of acts where it’s difficult to know which is the name of the band and which is the title of the album, like “Ali’Yah” by D.Black, and “A/rhythmia” by Alarm Will Sound.

My answer is pretty vague but I'm just happy that in 2009 my guitar playing helped me to open up to many different types of music both new and old and allowed me to enjoy music again. It was all getting pretty stale for me but now I appreciate more music of all genres.

Worst of 2009, Reality TV stars.

The Worst Of All in 2009, peoples attempts to become reality TV stars, like Octo-Mom, Balloon Boy, the Salahi's....

Mike, I'm with you in the "best" category. Definitely the best of this year was being declared cancer free in June.

Worst would probably have to be the initial cancer diagnosis back in March. It took many weeks of heavy chemo to fight it (was stage 4) but it was worth it all to have my life back!

Movie - The Blind Side. My wife talked me into going to see that move and to my complete suprise I liked it. Sandra Bullock did a great job of portraying the real life person she was playing.

One of the worst things of 2009 - Look at all the celebrity deaths in 2009: Britany Murphy, Dom DeLouise, Patrick Swayze, Farrah Fawcett, Michael Jackson, David Carradine, Natasha Richardson and there are many more.

One of the better things in 2009 - Finally enough H1N1 vaccine for everyone.

LOTS OF WORST THIS YEAR WASN'T THERE?

-bailouts so the execs in bloated companies could keep their bonuses

-reality TV, all of it

-loss of proud soldiers for people who don't seem to want our help

-N Korea's nuclear actions

-Hannah Montana, maybe it's just me but I have daughters who play that crap all the time :D

FEW BESTS

-The Hangover, great flick

-It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia Christmas Special

-KISS put out a new album, hey I was excited, it was pretty well accepted critically too

-got to take my son to his first concert, KISS @ Summerfest

-another year with my family, all doing well

-the band is still together and doing as well as we want

Wrong. Not in our town. Couldn't get the shot.

Best? Doing a motorcycle trip from Rutland, Vermont to Austin, Texas in June and stopping in Bristol, Virginia on the return leg to spend a few days with my Dad who celebrated his 80th birthday while I was there. Also... a nice early retirement package offered by my employer making it possible for me to fully retire shortly after my 56th birthday! Yay for me!  Oh... also... as a result of retiring I bought my Stratocaster!

Worst? hmmm... a couple of things. The August wrecking of my sport bike in Hanover N.H. by hitting a pothole the size of Rhode Island. Second motorcycle accident in 11 months and I tore my left thumb up a bit. I had a bad get-off on my cruiser the previous September. Also a 650 mile ride in the rain on my return from Texas/Virginia.

It has been an intresting year , HIGHLITE -my first performance with a band in front of an audience.
WEIRDIST - losing my business having to let go 30 employees ,being unemployed,
OUTLOOK- this happening has given way for an even greater opportunity to incorporate my love for music with my love for food into a venue that will celebrate both. And most importantly I will be providing good paying jobs again ,Believe it or not that has been the most gratifing part of my life.
