Can someone explain why the PM is disabled. I really wish this gets taken care. I dont understand why there is a PM function but it cannot be used.

I do believe Mr. Traweek has disabled this feature. Probably because its been abused in the past. Best bet is to try an IM if the person has it or email them.

I don't get that. This looks like a professionally made site. Better sites usually have the option for a user to block another user from PMs if there's any nonsense.

Seriously, sometimes ago it was said that Fender realized too late that they didn't want to become a private worldwide free unsupervized private messages provider. So they blocked the option. It's OK with me, I use MySpace or Facebook.

Version 2 of this community will have PM enabled as well as a few other features that folks have been requesting like personalized avatars, etc. We were hoping to launch version 2 when the entire Fender site relaunched recently but didn't quite make it. Still in the works for launch at some future date, though.
