I cant stand anymore of todays mainstream music, it makes me wanna spew.
You know, all that disney crap, rap, pop, dance, techno etc. I HATE it. I mean, pearl jam, nickelback, foo fighters are some of my faveourite bands, but there not in the mainstream are they?

Rihana (or however you spell it)

Flo Rida

........The list goes on forever, but my point is that its not even music! Its pointless, meaningless, not even made out of instruments ( its just computerized), and totall SH%#!!!!

Just please, post your complaints to this thread to show that I'm not the only one an I'll be happier than a pig in droppings.

I don't like any of the music you just mentioned either, and I can't stand turning on the radio to listen to top 40 with my friends, but there is some good modern music out there. I like things more like Switchfoot, and indie rock like Edison Glass. And I like hard rock, and hardcore/metalcore. And even though I really love blues and jazz and classic rock a lot more now, I still like what I listened to before too. My tastes haven't changed, they've just expanded.

Thats kind of narrow minded really. Are you just into one style of music? Miley Cirus (not that im a fan) actually writes and plays her stuff on an acoustic guitar, so to my knowledge thats not computerised, and even so electronic music can be just as good as just a straight guitar sound. For example the prodigy. One of the best acts using guitars and computer manipulation for great sounds making great music. And as for great music being out at the momment...well you should look for it, cause it may not find you.

No I dont like only one type of music, I like grunge, punk, heavy metal, alternative, acoustic grunge, post grunge. I know a couple of the artist's use acoustic guitarsv and stuff, but still I cant stand it.

Muse,Slipknot,MyChemRomance, & I can even dig my wifes MGMT disk for originality points, But I'm with You all on the Dizney Autotuned Bullshit out there, And, I think the Wrong Bands are getting the attention.
Have faith thou, the Rock Band generation will bring back the rock as evident by the Music my kids love & the fact that the Beatles,Queen & AC/DC are still making more fans & $$ than ever!!

Thats crap, and narrow minded, whether you want to agree or not. Lets just say you dont have an appreciation for adverse styles in music, whether it be rap to metal, or dance to classic rock. All the styles you mentioned are pretty similar.

I really like a lot of newer bands. Many of them are spin-offs by artists from bands I liked before... i.e. Audioslave as an example.

Some may roll their eyes, but I really like Nickelback, Staind, Puddle Of Mudd, Fuel, and bands of that ilk.

As far as rap, hip-hop, etc... I just don't listen to it so rather than go on about hating it, I leave it to those who appreciate those more urban genre. They are obviously popular among some people or they would not be around.

I "DO" think that writing a rap around the music of another artist (sampling) is cheap. So, yeah... I do hate that one aspect of urban music. Write your own damn stuff!

Ok I have no clue what you keep raving on about cause it's like, 2 in the morning here and I'm like, really tired so I'll just leave this thread before it turns into an argument.

I wanted to say that I don't have an opinion on modern music whatsoever.
But, I have just realized that it's not true. I don't like it, and I don't love it, maybe I hate it, and I couldn't care less about that modern, computerized stuff. But when there is something I don't like, I just don't think about it and don't listen to it. Relax! It won't last long, it's crap! Play and listen to what you love. That's all you need to do. Don't lose your head over it. It's not worth it.

I like alot of todays country and Christian alternative rock and Indie music such as Zac Brown Band, Kutless and Needtobreathe. I do have to agree with you on the Disney produced groups. They may draw young crowds and write thier own stuff but so did alot of other bands that are not very good. To each thier own i guess.
