Spent the day in the Village and Soho, some of my favorite haunts from the old days...stopped at Bruno's on Laguardia Place; now upscale, but was Just a bakery and coffee shop in the old days...I used to practice Italian with the owner back then, Nino; great guy, easy to talk to and hang out with. He then sold it to his brother the big shot pastry chef...prices went up, the atmosphere changed...still good pastries but at twice the price.

Went to Bleeker Bob's, my favorite record store since my late teens...got very nice clean copies of Never Mind the Bollocks, and Super Session with Bloomfield, Kooper, and Stills...I'm looking forward to hearing that when I get home; my brother doesn't own a turntable.

Went to see some people in a couple of galleries that sell rock photos and bought some...I'll post them when I receive and frame them...Dylan, Page, Neil Young, and the Doors hanging out in LA.

On the way home (NJ) this evening, I was stopped at a light on 22nd and 8th, and I look to my right; standing next to my car trying to cross is the actor Ron Perlman. If you read the thread about famous people we've met, I had mentioned him as a high school buddy...I opened the window, yelled "Hey Ron"; he looks, I say "Serge", he says "Serge Small?!" and reaches in and shakes my hand...we had around 1 minute to talk about his career, family, and then he had to cross and I had to move. Pretty strange that he remembered my last name after 42 years (We graduated in 1967).

I know, Eric. Neither is South Florida...I am hoping to move back up for the next school year. It's a cultural wasteland down here.

I'm there Eric. I'll meet you on Bleeker St outside Matt Uminov, we can grab some gear then head to the Fat Black Pussycat for cocktails.
