:?:

A quiet night with the wife this year for me.

Next week at this time will be out gigging and dodging the amateur drunks on the road. :P They seem to all come out of the woodwork on New Year's Eve.

I plan on relaxing. Once the teenagers are asleep, I'll put out Christmas presents (they think there is not going to be a Christmas this year...long story). That's about it.

Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even Ceri's mouse.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St Nicholas soon would be there.

The children were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of Stratocasters danced in their heads.
And mamma in her ‘kerchief, and I in my cap,
Had just settled our brains for a long winter’s nap.

When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a bike,
Tore open the shutters and plugged in the mic.

The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow
Gave the lustre of mid-day to gear trucks and paddles.
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a miniature Tele, and six tiny saddles.

(Feel free to make some changes and adds and keep it going)

Quiet night here with the girlfriend, a couple of game hens that needed eating and a nice bottle of dry Riesling. All in all very enjoyable and now for a few moments of practice and off to bed.

It's a tradition that me, my dad, and my sister all have; we watch "A Christmas Story" every year before Christmas. We actually just caught it on TBS yesterday evening(1:29 A.M. now) because they were running a 24-hour marathon of it.

Haha, that movie never gets old....
