I'm wondering what happened to some of my favorite bands. Thought maybe some of you guys could tell me what happened to them. Any info on what they're doing right now would be great!

Whatever happened to...

1. Molly Hatchet
2. Anvil
3. Velvet Revolver
4. Alice Cooper
5. Bachman-Turner-Overdrive
6. Blue Oyster Cult
7. Black Sabbath/Heaven and Hell
8. Journey
9. Queensryche
10. Slaughter
11. Van Halen (might sound stupid, but I don't know what they're doin right now)

Any info is welcomed, Thanks!

This is what I know. Correct me if I went astray anywhere ...

1. Molly Hatchet -- No idea. I'd like to know myself.

2. Anvil -- Didn't they just have a full-legth documentary made of their story?

3. Velvet Revolver -- Broken up. Weiland left to reform STP and Slash has been pissed at him ever since.

4. Alice Cooper -- He's 89 years old. I am a fan, too. Probably playing golf. He is a great golfer.

5. Bachman-Turner-Overdrive -- No idea ... didn't one die?

6. Blue Oyster Cult -- Aren't they forever touring clubs and releasing bad solo albums?

7. Black Sabbath/Heaven and Hell -- Finished their tour. Probably making an album.

8. Journey -- Aren't they still touring with that Philipino dude they found on You Tube who hates being in the band but stays 'cos of the money? Neal Schon is ridiculously over rated.

9. Queensryche -- Recently released American Soldier (the concept-album answer yet again to the question that no one is asking). I love Queensryche but their material has been sub-par starting with Promise Land.

10. Slaughter -- Umm, do we care?

11. Van Halen -- Working on the new album after Ed got back from his honeymoon. They have said they might tour again before and after recording the album.

Alice Cooper is only 61

Weiland left Velvet Revolver and Slash is now working on a solo album called "Slash and Friends"

Randy Bachman just finished a jazz album with Gerry Beaudoin and is gearing up for another tour with Burt Cummings.

Alice Cooper is alive and well here in Arizona. Last I checked he had a radio show with music and commentary. He also appears in local tv
and radio ads in the Phoenix area.

Yes, Anvil's alive and well and still touring Europe or just finishing up.

Heaven A Hell is booking Summer festival dates in Europe. Very sadly, Ronnie James Dio was just diagnosed as having the early stages of stomach cancer. He is undergoing chemo at the Mayo Clinic right now. Tony Iommi is resting up after some hand surgery and drummer Vinny Appice just had shoulder surgery and will be sidelined a good 4-6 weeks at the least.

I saw Molly Hatchet this past summer at Mohegan Sun. It was a pretty good show, they played for about an hour and a half if my memory is correct.

Velvet Revolver are not broke up. They are still on the hunt for their new singer. I know the guys in Million $ Reload, (their guitar player used to be our singer and is one of my best friends) their singer Philly auditioned for them.

They are taking their time filling the place. In the meantime Duff has been touring with Loaded and recording with Izzy Stradlin.

Slash has been working on his solo album due in Jan.

VR still exist.

Isn't Slash trapped in his Slash outfit, though? Ya know, 3-day growth, top hat and aviator glasses? It's getting odd. Like if McCartney kept showing up in his Sgt. Pepper's clothes.

Totally dude. I think he's trying to hide how bald and fat he got compared to the other Gunners.

He's become a parody of himself.

Thats why the hat is never off him. In Guns N' Roses he only usually wore it during Paradise City, their closer, and also during photo shoots. It seems like the guy is showering in it these days, lol.

At least half of your list tours in some sort of capacity throughout various times of the year, however, the lineups may not be all original...there may only be one or 2 original members in many cases...
