I'm was watching ZZ Top: Live From Texas and I noticed that Billy Gibbons has his hand turned so that his thumbnail on his picking hand is facing the strings. He is using the thumbnail flat against the strings to play and is getting some excellent harmonic tones out of this playing style.

I read somewhere once that the reverend G. uses a dime to get the harmonics he is so well known for. I think he could get them with his toes if he wanted. Although he gets some accolades for his guitar playing skills I still think he is vastly underrated.

I heard it was a Mexican Peso. Makes for a durable plectrum I'm sure I agree he is VERY underrated. I believe he could get the harmonics with his beard... :D
