I have been a life long fan of Frank Zappa and think that today should be known as Zappa Day.

Call Any Vegetable - my first time hearing Frank.

Saw him with the MOI and other assorted artists a few times. He was quite a performer and artist.

Rest easy, Frank!

Hey Snowman, I knew I could count on you. It will be a very carefully planned holiday at the new place. Which by the way openning at the end of Jan. Things are going great.

It just so happens that today was proclaimed "Frank Zappa Day" in Baltimore, MD (where I happen to live and where Frank was born). If my information is correct, a statue of Frank (which was donated to the city of Baltimore by a Zappa fan club in Lithuania or somewhere in Eastern Europe), was unveiled in front of the Enoch Pratt Free Library in Highlandtown. The Mayor was on hand and a copy of the decree can be seen on the ZPZ website.

Sorry to double post but I found a link to a short story in the Washington Post:

http://voices.washingtonpost.com/annapo ... e_day.html

And I also didn't realize that today was the 22nd. Old age I guess. :)
